Our scopeDesign + Turnkey Construction
01 The challenge
The heritage tree sat close to the planned living wing, and its root zone ruled out a conventional footing layout on one side of the plot.
02 Our solution
We redesigned the foundation as isolated footings with a cantilevered ground slab, keeping the root zone untouched, and wrapped the living room in full-height glazing so the tree became the home's centrepiece.
03 Highlights
- Zero-tree-loss foundation design
- Double-glazed thermal façade
- Solar-ready roof with rainwater harvesting
- Handed over 3 weeks early
